Method is a well-established, award-winning creative experiences agency in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Having delivered outstanding experiences in web, mobile, exhibitions, AR and VR over the last few years our team has done remarkable and innovative work for local and international high-profile brands.


We need a superstar Office Manager and Personal Assistant to the Managing Director. Someone who is switched on and always one step ahead with the knack to engage with and cater to a variety of personalities. A personable, affable and pragmatic person who can ensure the office and team are running smoothly while fastidiously supporting the MD to ensure she is free to focus on leading the company, new business development, and strategy.


Role and tasks include:

  • Managing diaries, organising meetings, and arranging travel - personal and professional
  • Join meetings where appropriate, take minutes/notes, own actions and follow up on others' actions
  • Recording new business opportunities, client contacts and keep records up to date for the Client Service team
  • Managing the office and general team day-to-day needs - be the office go-to person
  • Organising client and staff events, special occasions, entertainment
  • Leading and managing the Account Executive/Office Assistant
  • Assisting with team resourcing and day to day HR - inductions, contracts, payroll, leave, expenses, and team review follow-ups
  • Ensuring detailed documentation is kept and updated re: systems and processes
  • Organising materials and presentations for events/conferences for MD
  • Assisting MD with marketing, thought leadership posts and articles
  • Ensuring an exceptional client experience - both internal and external
  • Assist with financial tracking and budget management
  • Assisting MD with personal requirements as needed
  • Working within MS Office and G-Suite plus a number of other systems and SaaS products


 This role requires a self-starter attitude with a proactive mindset and the ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks and execute these reliably and efficiently - sometimes with little instruction or direction. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is a high level of confidentiality as you will be across many aspects of the business and the MD's life.


You'll have experience dealing with a variety of personalities as you'll be both catering to the team while also being a senior representative of and within the company. We are looking for someone who has strong attention to detail with outstanding organisational skills while being genuine and down to earth with a helpful and positive attitude. Someone with the nous and desire to pitch in as needed for whatever is needed.
